“Don't be bitter! “, and that’s the first thing being said when you criticized someone’s idol.. Or you forget that they’re no God, hence they’re not perfect. The path that they choose, or should I say their “occupation” means exposing themselves to the society, and that comes with the job. Even our perfect Prophet Mohamed went through a lot of hatred, so what makes you think an imperfect human being like you and me, will get away with bad names, no matter how good (or bad) your intentions are?

A wedding of a woman who perceived herself as a good model to other young Muslim women, supposedly portray a picture of a humble Muslim woman. In Islam, moderation is the key. In Islam, the basics are the best, and if you have more, you share, or you “don’t tell” so people “don’t talk”. A huge dais decorated with thousand of fresh flowers and live plants, an average joe like myself, couldn’t even afford to have half of her dais, let alone those expansive decorations. So what is the purpose of the lavish and extravagant dais for? Is this the moderation lifestyle promoted by our Prophet and in Islam? Then there’s the door gift, but I sinned enough. Let’s just say, if you know, you know!

Wearing a niqab, for an illiterate Muslim like myself, is a sign that your journey has just progressed to another level, especially being someone who have army of younger audiences who looked up to you, it is important that you remember certain ways you hold yourself accountable for, and that you are honest about your journey. Otherwise, not only you’re lying to yourself, but you’re also lying to people who actually believed in you. And the worst bit of it all is that, you’re bringing religious as part of your sacred identity.

I am no one (ABSOLUTELY NO ONE!) to judge no one. But it breaks my heart seeing a Muslim women wearing hijab, but “wearing it wrong”, while I have zero excuse as to why I am not wearing one, because reality is that, every Muslim women who have passed puberty MUST wear hijab, full stop, hands down, I literally have no reasons to give. So they’re still Islamically a step better than me.. But if I can use this platform, once and for all, I just want to say this; please watch what you’re wearing and how you’re wearing it if you’re wearing a hijab. The clothes that you wear MUST NOT show the shape of your body, being one of the most important “requirement”, especially must be followed when you’re wearing a hijab, let alone when you decided to wear a niqab! I swear its not bitter, but it saddened me that you take this lightly, because despite covering your face in the name of Allah s.w.t, and yet the world can see your perfect silhouette wearing that tight dress underneath your hijab and niqab.

I am sure almost every Malaysian knows who I am talking about, but hey, call me bitter, hypocrite, b*tch, or any names you want, I just don’t buy it, not at all. I always believe that the simplest thing is always the hardest thing to do. Wearing a hijab is simple, and what hard is “wearing it”. Like I said, if you get it, you get it. Some will even go the length.. “well at least she’s married, while you’re not, and worse, a spinster!”

..not that I care.
